Nail Art: Green Dotticure for #fightforlifeandlive

Because of the tragic suicide of Robin Williams, the nail community has decided to band together to create green manicures for mental health awareness. The ribbon for mental health awareness is green, hence the green manis. I think all of us have been touched in some way by someone we love or suffer themselves from depression. It is very tragic that Robin Williams felt he had to take his own life, but I hope that with his passing, others can learn that they are not alone in this battle and that the stigma of mental illnesses needs to be lifted. With that, I would like to share my nails. I meant to post these earlier in the day, but I went on a hike and suddenly, it seems, it is 8pm! I started with a white base and dotted a gradient effect with two sizes of dotting tool. I used Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, Color Club Wild Cactus and Sinful Colors Calypso. I staggered the dots a little to give more of a gradient effect.

Pretty simple nails, but I haven't tried this technique before. I really like it! I've seen a lot of ladies do it in sort of a rainbow pattern and I always think it looks fantastic. This is an easy one for you all to try out. Please be sure to check out all the other green manis for mental health awareness below. This is an important issue that affects all of us. I hope that you take the time to learn about mental health issues and know that those who suffer from them may look fine on the outside but are carrying a burden on the inside.

  1. Mental health and mental wellness are so important, though it's tragic that that we have to experience loss to realize that. :(

On a lighter note this is a lovely manicure, and it's a design I've been meaning to try for a while! Love how it turned out for you!
