Swatch and Review of Aurora Lacquers

Press Sample

I have a NEW indie brand to share with you today! Aurora Lacquers just started this year and have already launched some amazing colors. They send me these polishes in exchange for my honest review. They sent me four colors to review: Cookie Gardens, Mint Meadows, Imaginary Butterfly, and Hydrangea Surprise.

Cookie Gardens is first up. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by this polish, I expected it to be a little lumpy and goopy because of the large chunks of butterfly and flower glitters, but it applied really nicely. I used three coats for the photos below. You do have a fish a little for the larger glitter, but the small and circle glitters were no problem.

Mint Meadows is a nice shimmer polish. It has scattered glitter throughout and has a yellow/gold glint in the sunlight. It applied beautifully and I used three coats here. I really liked this polish, it reminds me of Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream in a way. It reminds me of it because of the mix of glitter and shimmer. It is definitely unique, and I really enjoyed it! Also, it is on sale right now!

Imaginary Butterfly is a glitter topper that is build-able. It has butterfly glitters in it along with other circle and smaller glitters. I first layered it over black, white, and pink and also showed what it looks like by itself. I then did a little glitter gradient over black. Which, I thought was really fun! Again, the butterflies needed to be fished out a little bit, but nothing too troublesome. It has a great mix of glitters that I think is great, it is really nice because I only needed this one glitter topper for a gradient.

Hydrangea Surprise. Love. This is my favorite, and I knew it was going to be my favorite when I saw it online. It is a gorgeous baby blue creme base with circle and smaller glitters throughout. It is lovely. Three coats and perfect application.

I was so pleasantly surprised by these polishes. I expected a new brand to have a few hiccups, but these are perfect. They took three coats for full coverage (except for the glitter topper) and applied like a dream. I feel honored to have been chosen by Aurora Lacquers to review their polish. It is definitely high quality and you can tell they put their heart and soul into it. I definitely plan on buying from them in the future. You can buy their polish online at www.AuroraLacquers.com.
