Swatch and Review of Zoya: Naturel Part Deux Collection (Partial)

Press Sample

Recently, Zoya sent me two polishes from their Naturel Deux collection: Spencer and Aubrey. There are six in the collection, and you can view them all here. I am glad they sent two that were so different, so I would have a good contrast to show you. The Naturel Deux Collection is meant to help you transition from summer to fall colors and all of them have a neutral color palette.

Spencer is described on Zoya's website as a "rich caramel cream". I would mostly agree with that. In brighter light, it does look like caramel, but in some lights this polish pulls a little more grey toned on me. This actually reminds me of coffee with a good amount of cream in it. I usually have a difficult time with nudes matching my skin tone well, but this was nice color. I only needed two coats. I could have gotten away with one if I were extra careful.

Aubrey is a really interesting shade. This color really skirts the edge of a grandma color, but somehow on the nail, it is a little edgier. Zoya describes it as a "medium mauve cream", and whenever I see the word mauve, I think grandma color. I think that it just has a hint of a darker tone that really make it more of an atypical color. Hopefully you can see what I mean in these photos. The formula is the same as Spencer and only needed two coats for full coverage.

Both of these colors applied beautifully, which is pretty standard for Zoya. I don't think I have found a single Zoya with a bad formula. I like the idea of the transition collection, but I see this more as a neutral collection with a twist. You can purchase Zoya on their website, and both of these colors are currently available! Let me know what you think of this and thanks for stopping by!

  1. Spencer and Aubrey both look lovely on you! I totally get what you mean by "grandma colors" I thought the same when I saw the press release for these but on the nails they are completely different!! They definitely walk that fine line but they were able to pull these off as classic cremes with flair!!

  2. They both look awesome on you! I thought that Aubrey was a 'grandma color' in the bottle, but it is not so bad once it is on the nail!
