Today I have swatches and review of China Glaze Five Rules to share! Five Rules comes from The Giver Collection which was released in conjunction with the movie. I didn't get a chance to pick these up when they came out and my store was barren when I finally went in to get them. I was only able to find Five Rules, but it was one of the ones I really wanted, so I am glad I found it. I'm not sure if it is really a grey, off white, or tan, it is kind of a mixture of all three. Nevertheless it is a beautiful neutral color.
For these photos I only needed two coats, but the application was a bit tricky. The formula was really runny, so I had to be really careful not to flood my cuticles. I think the color and opacity in this case is worth the extra care in application. I was really sad I didn't get the other colors in the collection though! What are your thoughts? Do you like the color enough to deal with a somewhat difficult formula? Thanks for stopping by and reading! Happy Sunday!
I like this one on you. It wasn't one of the ones I picked up though. Do you have a Sally Beauty or three nearby? I found one of the ones I originally skipped (and then desperately coveted) on clearance at my Sally when I dropped in on Friday. Got totally distracted by the clearance polishes and forgot to pick up acetone.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I actually got this one at Sally's on clearance! It was the only one they had left.My Sally's is kind of small, I might try some others in bigger cities, but I haven't decided to make the trek yet. I always forget something at Sally's too!
