Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate 05 Review and Nail Art

Press Sample

I hope you all had a wonderful, long weekend! I enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner on three separate occasions this weekend, so I have much to be thankful for. Today, I am thankful for nail stamping! I have a fun and easy design using the Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate 05. I have been loving the fact that they are releasing new plates pretty regularly now. They are really affordable and come in a lot of different designs. This one in particular is called the Egypt Style plate and is only $1.99! Plus, you can get 10% off with my code: HANDX31.

The plate I received is different from the image on their website. I believe mine has a slight imperfection above the star like shape. It didn't bother me too much though. What I am really happy about is that this plate came with a backing, so now it doesn't seem as sharp as the others I have used in the past. The backing feels like a vinyl.

For my design, I started with a base coat of China Glaze Pelican Grey, which is a great grey. I think it has a perfect subtle shimmer in it that makes it glow a little. Over that I stamped the leaf like image from the plate with A England Ascalon. Oh I love Ascalon. It is gorgeous on it's own, but I heard A Englands stamp well, and I wanted to try it out. It worked really well. I did have to use my Konad stamper which is pretty firm. My squishy one couldn't pick up all the fine detail in these images.

I thought this plate was really great. All of the images picked up really well. The patchy parts on the swatch sheet I have above are only patchy because the polish didn't want to transfer to the paper, but they all picked up beautifully. I am really excited that this works well and that I can count it as another great product from the Born Pretty Store. Remember to use my coupon code HANDX31 for any non-sale items and you can get 10% off! Also, there is always free shipping! As I have stated in previous posts, definitely plan to wait at least two weeks for delivery, these took about 3 weeks to arrive. For the price, I think it is definitely worth the wait. I hope you like this post. I have more Born Pretty Store reviews coming in the next week. Thanks for reading!

  3. I like the grey on grey stamping here. The plate looks great but it's funny it only has one Egyptian image on it!

  5. I can never get my holographic polishes to stamp well so I'm a little jealous of your skills. This is a beautiful manicure. Its nice to see BPS is adding backing to their plates now, I agree the other ones felt very sharp.

  6. That's a lovely stamping! I also have that plate and I like it so much! I had no luck stamping with my A England's and now that you mentioned you had problems with the squishy stamper I realized I need to try something different when I use them! Thanks for the tip!

  10. You showed this plate so well! I love your mani! I have this plate and I actually used that design in a mani the other day, but my base sort of overtook it so it didn't showcase it well (will have to redo for a proper review!)
