OPI Glitters from the Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection

This post has been a  LONG time coming! I have been wanting to share the glitter since I posted First Class Desires and Christmas Gone Plaid. I had my eyes on Comet in the Sky, but couldn't find these glitters anywhere. I literally went to a ton of stores several times. I finally caved and bought Comet in the Sky online and the next day was told that they were all at TJ Maxx on sale! I knew I was going to love Comet in the Sky, so I figured it couldn't hurt to have two bottles. So, today along with Comet in the Sky, I have Snow Globetrotter and So Elegant. All of these are glitter toppers in a clear base.

So Elegant has a gunmetal with a blue tint hex glitters in two sizes and smaller black glitters.I topped this over Northern Star Polish Marsala

Comet in the Sky has iridescent hex glitters and smaller black glitters. I used Northern Star Polish One With The Shadows as a base color.

Snow Globetrotter has large and small white hex and micro glitter and iridescent glitter. I topped this over Northern Star Polish Cauldron Bubble.

I layered two coats of all of these glitters over two coats of a colored base, noted in each section. I love these toppers and toppers are not my thing! I knew Comet in the Sky was special when I first saw swatches, and the other two I picked up are just as special. I love the mix of glitter and sizes! I hope you all can find these on clearance now, or at least at your TJ Maxx or similar store, because these are so worth searching out. They all applied well with minimal fishing. Most swipes were full of glitter with a little bit of placement needed for the larger pieces. I hope you like this and are able to find these! Thanks for stopping by and reading.

  3. These all look wonderful the way you paired them! It's nice to see mainstream brands experiment a little and come out with more exciting glitter toppers.

  4. Such beautiful swatches! I think OPI is trying to be indie though and for me, personally, I don't think it's working :-/

  5. I feel like it is really hit or miss with their indie inspired types of polishes. Thank you!

  7. Me too! It is so much easier to get mainstream brands, I think it is nice that they are trying.

I really liked the glitters from this collection! I was impressed they didn't do their standard stuff.
