Swatch and Review of Zoya Magical Pixie Dust Summer 2014 Collection

Press Sample

Summer 2014 is shaping up to be beautiful! Zoya sent me three new polishes from the Magical Pixie Summer 2014 Collection and I have them to share with you today!  Zoya provided these for my honest review. The Magical Pixie polishes are very textured polishes, but even if you don't like textured polish you should definitely check them out. I have photos of all with and without top coat, and I think you'll be surprised!

First up is Bar, the nude of the collection. At first I thought it was gold because of all the sparkle, but really the base is more of a nude color with the glitter making it look gold. It is a lot thicker than the regular Pixie Dust polishes because it has larger glitters in it, but the larger glitters give such a stunning effect. It applies nicely despite the thicker formula. I used three coats here but you could probably get away with two. This is one of those colors I wouldn't think to pick up in the store, but on the nail, is so gorgeous!

With two coats of top coat. Stunning!

Next up is Arlo, a beautiful violet color. I think this is my favorite of the collection, but all three are pretty much tied. I also applied three coats here and it was a breeze. This one seemed a little less textured than the other two, I am not sure why, but that was my perception. It isn't really obvious on the nail, but in applying it, the sandy texture seemed to lay more flat. I love the mix of glitters, texture and jelly formula here!

With two coats of top coat. Again, I am swooning over this!

Lastly, I have Ginni. Ginni is a blush pink polish with the same gorgeous glitter as the other two. I
would say that this pink is more of a neutral than a bright pink, which I like. In the bottle it seemed a lot more pink to me, but on the nail, the softer tone won me over. I again applied three coats and was very happy with the easy application.

With two coats of top coat. Top coat really makes these glitters pop!

I was surprised at how much I loved these! I like textured polish, but it took me a while to get into it and only limited types, but these are fabulous! I think the holographic glitter is just gorgeous and I think most people would agree. The application was great, sometimes textured polishes are difficult to apply, but that isn't the case here. I am one of those weird people who plans my nail designs in advance for big events and I can definitely see myself wearing these for some weddings this summer. You can buy these online on Zoya's website and they retail for $10 each! If you missed the Tickled & Bubbly Collection swatches and reviews you can view them below.

Hope you all are having a great Sunday and thank you for reading!

  1. Those look like amazing polishes as you've just put glitter and sparkles all over it! They are lovely sweet colours also - not too in your face or little girly pinks. Hope you're having a great sunday also!
