This is an unusual post for me, but I wanted to alert you all about a sale on Hautelook! If you have enjoyed my various posts using Sephora by OPI nail polishes, you can buy some of your own from Hautelook! Sephora by OPI has been discontinued from Sephora and there are few opportunities left to snap up this great polish. It is selling for $3/bottle right now. I know you can also get some at Big Lots, but they have very limited colors left. If you are not a member of Hautelook you can join using the link below. I receive credit if you make a purchase after joining, maybe I can use that to buy more polish to share with you!

Nail Art: Spring Gradient
This is one of those rare instances where I really like what I created. I guess we are our own worst critics, but I always find something about my nails that I usually wish I could have done better. These ones, though, turned out really well! I was proud of how my gradient turned out and the stamping was just dainty enough to not overwhelm the gradient. The blue I used is Sephora by OPI Havana Dreams and the green is an unnamed Sally Hansen. Unnamed. How dare they not put a sticker with a name on it! Seriously, it kind of makes me twitchy when my polish doesn't have a name. I could have sworn I saw the same color elsewhere and it had pear in the name, so if any of you know the name, please let me know!! I also used my beloved MoYou plate from the Tourist Collection.

Swatch and Review of Sephora by OPI: The Way Tutu His Heart
With the discontinuation of Sephora by OPI, I now have a stockpile of it. There were too many good sales for me to let the deal go by, but now I am teasing you with discontinued polish just forewarning you. I have SOPI The Way Tutu His Heart, which appeared to be a milky white with a sheer finish online, however in real life it is a pinky-white with an opaque finish. This polish reminds me of a white that just got a tiny drop of color.I applied four coats to get this look.
As I was painting my nails I noticed a striking resemblance to Essie Fiji- which I adore. So, I thought I would do a comparison. Below I have Essie Fiji on my pointer and ring fingers and SOPI on my middle and pinky fingers.

These two are really similar! I can barely notice a difference in real life, I wouldn't say these are dead on dupes, but they are so close I wouldn't buy both. I prefer Essie to the SOPI. The Way Tutu His Heart had such great prospects, but it was really streaky. Not the endearing- we'll get there- streaky, but the -I hate this polish- streaky. I thought I could get away with three coats, but there was just a streak here or there that drove me crazy. I would actually be really upset if I spent the full amount on this polish, but I got it for $3, so I can't complain. Since it is discontinued, Essie is a great option. Essie is one of those- we'll get there - streaky polishes. The first coat is not pretty but a thicker second coat does it. I added a third coat here just for extra coverage. I do love the color of both, even though it wasn't as sheer as I had hoped, The Way Tutu His Heart is a lovely soft shade that I know will go with anything. Thanks for reading!

Swatch and Review of Sephora by OPI: Leotard Optional
Hello! I hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween! No dressing up for me this year, but I did watch some scary movies! Today I have Sephora by OPI: Leotard Optional. SOPIs are being discontinued from Sephora to be replaced with the new Sephora X line. I snapped up a bunch of SOPIs so that I could take advantage of a great deal. I bought several from Hautelook for $3 each! Leotard Optional was one of them. I have been searching for the perfect nude for my skin tone, which had proven to be a bit difficult. My skin is darker and tanner than usual nude polishes and most of the time they end up looking too yellow toned or the color suddenly looks sickly grey on my hands. Luckily, I think Leotard Optional may be the nude for me! I figured my nude would have to be a little darker for it to blend well and I think I found my match. It is a somewhat mocha toned brown-tan. In some light it looked a little pink leaning, but it was really nice.

You all know I don't normally wear such subdued colors, so it was a bit difficult to get used to this. I really like it though! This was only two coats, and it applied beautifully. No streakiness or patchiness to speak of, and it wasn't too thick or tacky either. Quite enjoyable to work with. I have noticed all SOPIs are a perfect consistancy. Make me wonder why they are discontinuing the line. I heard some complaints that it doesn't last that long. I can't really speak to that since I change my polish so often! I heard the new line is supposed to have an amazing formula, but it is also higher priced than SOPI. Originally SOPI was $9.50 each but the new Formula X is $12.50. Whatever the reason, I am very happy with the ones I own and am sad to see the line go. If you have the opportunity to get some, scoop it up now! Thanks for reading!

Swatch and Review of Sephora by OPI: Henna-thing Is Possible
Today I have Sephora by OPI: Henna-thing Is Possible! Currently, Sephora just further reduced the Sephora by OPI polish!! Now you can get it on sale 3 for $10. Go get that! I bought mine when it was 50%, so I got Henna-thing Is Possible for $4.50. SOPI always seems to have a great formula and some unique colors. Henna-thing Is Possible is from the Indian Summer Collection 2012.

This is a bright color for summer! I love how in some light is looks pink or fuchsia and is some it looks purple. It definitely has some blue leaning glitter micro-flecks. I applied two coats of this polish and it covered really well. It had a thinner formula than I am used to, but it evens out great in the second layer. This is one of those polishes that you are happy to apply because it is to wonderful and smooth. I actually wore this color much longer than I usually do and I had no staining. Colors similar to this have left stains on my nails, but this is stain free which is always a plus. Like I said, Sephora by OPI is one sale now for the same price as Sally Hansen polishes, so go get some girl!

Swatch and Review of Sephora by OPI: I Only Shop Vintage
I have a Sephora by OPI polish for you today! This one is called I Only Shop Vintage. This name fits the color so well! I don't know what it is about this color, but it definitely looks vintage doesn't it? It is really a gold with a creamy base, which makes it really unique. Usually gold looks really metallic, but this is really more of a toned down color. All of the photos below were taken outdoors with natural lighting.

The formula of this polish was flawless! It was two coats, but it was like butter! I really enjoyed applying this. I didn't take a picture of the brush but it is similar to the regular OPI brushes, just a tad thinner. Sephora has a 50% off Sephora by OPI polish sale going on right now, so get on that! I think I bought this one at TJ Maxx, but it was the same price as the 50% off sale going on right now. Sale price now is $4.50! I bought a few of the SOPIs so I may do a series of swatch and reviews here soon. I enjoyed this a lot, hope you do too! Thanks for reading!
