Today I have two different stampers and stamping polish to share with you, all of which is from the Born Pretty Store. I got the dual double sided stamper, plastic black stamper with scraper, and stamping polish in color #18. Below is a design I stamped with the black stamper and OPI LAMB and Casino Royale.

OPI Venice Collection
I'm a little late in sharing this, but today I have part of OPI's fall collection on the blog today! This year's collection was inspired by Venice. I've never been, so those of you who have should let me know if this captures the feel of the city. At first glance not a lot of the colors really look like fall at all. I didn't get them all, but I have most of the collection here.

Essie French Tips
For some reason, recently I had a hankering for a matte/metallic combo. I wasn't sure if I ever shared Essie Wrap Me Up which was part of the Cashmere Mattes collection, so I decided to use that and paired it with Essie Penny Talk. Penny Talk is a really shiny metallic polish. I wanted to do a think french manicure, so I did it free hand and left the finish as is and didn't use a top coat.

Northern Star Ghoulish Fancy
If you saw my post yesterday, you'll know that I had these water slide decals on for that design. I decided I wanted to recycle my accent nails for at least another day because these water slides are just too cute! I decided to paint the other nails with Northern Star Ghoulish Fancy! I love Northern Star and I wanted to try another of her new polishes. Turns out she has new bottles too. Ghoulish Fancy is a teal blue with some blue shimmer.

Chanel Taboo
Today I have a special polish to share with you! I have been wanting this polish for ages and I finally made the decision to purchase it! It was a big deal because it felt so exorbitant for a nail polish. It is Chanel Taboo. I have seen swatches and have even tried it out a few times at the counter, and I couldn't get it out of my mind. Unfortunately is it pricey at $27 per bottle. I just couldn't justify the price in my mind, but I just bit the bullet and decided I had to have it.

Cirque Colors Vice Collection Nail Art
Press Sample
I really love fall, but I wanted to get at least one more crazy neon look out for the summer, so here it is! I don't think I've even done that much neon this summer. Some of you may have noticed I haven't been really active at all this summer. Thanks for bearing with me, I have just had a really busy work schedule for so long, once things lightened up a bit, I kind of checked out. I do want to be more engaged in the blog, but sometimes I float in and out of it.
Anyway, I used the entire Cirque Colors Vice Collection which I reviewed earlier this summer, and I'll tell you, I wore the heck out of these colors! I love them all so much. Neon is definitely my favorite for summer. For this look, I used one of my favorite techniques which includes smearing plastic wrap over blobs of color. It sounds so child-like, but I seriously love the technique. It creates such a misty looking mix of colors.

OPI Midnight in Moscow and Essie Hors D'oeuvres
I was lucky enough to find two polishes on sale that I have been wanting to try for some time. They are Essie Hors D'oeuvres and OPI Midnight in Moscow. I thought MIM was one of those hard to find polishes that people had only heard about but have never seen, but I got mine for half price at Sally's Beauty, so that was lucky. I thought these two colors together created a fun and sort of glitzy fall or winter look. MIM is a really vampy dark burgundy that is lightened nicely by Hors D'oeuvres.

Finger Paints is out with a new fall collection that includes three core shades and three limited edition shades. I have two of the limited editions and one core shade to share with you today. This collection is pretty representative of what I think of when I think of fall, it has some of the dark brooding colors along with the rich tones of autumn leaves.

Nail Art Dotticure Blues
Press Sample
I received Sinful Colors Ocean Side from Influenster Voxbox along with some other exciting goodies. I decided to do a little nail art with this one. Ocean Side is a middle tone blue creme and I thought it would go really well with Orly Color Blast Crazy Old Maurice from the Beauty and the Beast collection. I love Beauty and the Beast!I've been a little rusty on nail art because I just haven't had time, so I thought this could be a good ease back into it. I just did an asymmetrical dot pattern with alternating colors using Crazy Old Maurice as my accent color.

Pretty & Polished Ice Ice Lady and Maleficium
I have never tried Pretty & Polished, but I have been admiring the brand for quite a while. It is an indie brand that I have seen on LiveLovePolish.com and have finally purchased some for myself! I purchased Ice Ice Lady and Maleficium. I saw Maleficium on Manna's Mani's blog and I knew I had to have it! They are both glitter packed crellies (mix between a jelly and a creme) and have great coverage.

OPI My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours and Sparitual Barefoot Swatch and Review
I love these two colors so much together! I can't help from starting this post with that statement. I have Sparitual Barefoot and OPI My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours up today. These two are just pretty together. I'm going to abbreviate OPI from now on as MPHTY. MPHTY is a really pretty paprika color. It really is exactly like the container color, I love it! Barefoot is a sandy cream color with small glitters that lean toward reds and yellows.

OPI Top Ten Part 1
A while ago OPI came out with a set of mini polishes that consisted of their top ten classic shades. I have used a few here and there, but realized I never shared them with you all. How thoughtless of me! I decided to swatch all ten and share my thoughts with you. Today I have part one which consists of the first box which contains the lighter shades: Alpine Snow, Bubble Bath, Tickle My France-y, Kiss Me On My Tulips, and Red Lights Ahead...Where?. On all of my accent nails I have one of my favorites OPI LAMB.

Work Wear Wednesday: Island Girl Style
It is late on a Wednesday, but today I have another installment of Work Wear Wednesday! I apologize for being absent for so long. I think it is fatigue from working long hours for months, but I hope to be more consistent in the future! This week I decided to switch things up a bit and add an almost neon color. I used an unnamed Island Girl, OPI L.A.M.B., Wet n Wild Matte Top Coat, and Maybelline Bold Gold for stamping and Born Pretty Store Plate BP-19.

Early Summer Leaf Gradient
Hello all! Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer, so I wanted to create a nail design that reflected the early summer months! I started with three China Glaze colors: Five Rules, Flip Flop Fantasy, and Grass is Lime Greener. I also used plate BP19 from the Born Pretty Store and Pure Ice Superstar. I decided to create a gradient with the China Glaze polishes and stamped over that with a leaf design in white. This was one of those looks that kind of evolved as I created it.

Work Wear Wednesday: Pastel Polka Dots
Affiliate Links
I have another installment of Work Wear Wednesday up today! I wanted to do something really simple because I just haven't had any energy to do anything intricate lately, and who doesn't love a simple dotticure? After I did one a while back, I had another WWW post with a tan and black dotticure and since then, I noticed a lot of questions about how I actually do it. I thought it was a pretty simple process and I have a little tutorial at the bottom of the post.

The Polished Bookworms: Nail Art Inspired by Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
I have a confession. I didn't read the book for book club this month. The Polished Bookworms read Gone Girl this month, but I actually read it ages ago, so I didn't feel the need to re-read it. I'm rebellious, I know. I thought it was a really great and twisted book. Gillian Flynn is really good at writing really suspenseful, twisted, thrillers. If you like that kind of thing, you need to read her books! I decided to do a mani inspired by broken glass. I don't remember if broken glass was ever in the book, but that is what I think of when I think of this book.

I didn't have time to do a picture tutorial, but I will share step by step instructions. I used Sally Hansen Licorice and Mint Sorbet to achieve this look. The Polished Bookworms: Nail Art Inspired by Maze Runner by James Dashner
Last month in The Polished Bookworms, we read Big Little Lies which I loved. Maze Runner was our book this month. The theme was a young adult book and at times, I had a difficult time even taking this book seriously. In the end I think it is an entertaining read, but I think I will skip the rest of the series. I thought it was an interesting concept, but it read more like a downgraded Hunger Games. For my nail design based on the book, I did a gradient of China Glaze Black Diamond and Foie Gras and stamped over it with Agro.

OPI Glitters from the Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection
This post has been a LONG time coming! I have been wanting to share the glitter since I posted First Class Desires and Christmas Gone Plaid. I had my eyes on Comet in the Sky, but couldn't find these glitters anywhere. I literally went to a ton of stores several times. I finally caved and bought Comet in the Sky online and the next day was told that they were all at TJ Maxx on sale! I knew I was going to love Comet in the Sky, so I figured it couldn't hurt to have two bottles. So, today along with Comet in the Sky, I have Snow Globetrotter and So Elegant. All of these are glitter toppers in a clear base.
