Work Wear Wednesday: Simple Stripes

Hello! I hope you all are having a wonderful week! It's hump day again, and I actually have a Work Wear Wednesday post to share with you! I didn't have time to do a picture tutorial, but I will share step by step instructions. I used Sally Hansen Licorice and Mint Sorbet to achieve this look. I really love neutral colors with pastels, and even though Licorice is a really dark neutral, I think it helps make Mint Sorbet pop.

Instructions:
1. I painted a base color of SH Licorice and let it dry completely.
2. Add a quick dry top coat to ensure the base layers dry completely.
3. Add tape across the nail to cover the tip. I tried to cover about 2/3 of the nail.
4. Paint Mint Sorbet over the base of the nail and while it is still wet, carefully pull the tape off.
5. Use a striping brush to freehand paint a thin line above the line just created.
6. Allow all of that to dry and then add a top coat.

I think this design is really simple, and you could do it all freehand if you wanted to do so. I think this would look nice with any kind of neutral/pastel combo, or for summer months neutral/neon! Oh man, I can't wait until Neon Week is upon us again. Hope you all had a great day, thanks for stopping by and reading!
