Post Black Friday Spa Day with Teadora

Press Sample

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I had a great one and will have another tomorrow! I'm excited though, Thanksgiving just makes me happy. Did any of you go Black Friday or Grey Thursday shopping? I went out with my husband this morning to pick up a few things, but well after the large and crazy crowds were gone. After shopping though, I felt like I needed a spa day, even though it wasn't as hectic as it could have been.

I have a fun and luxurious body product to share with you today that would do just the trick. One of the most annoying things about cold weather is dry skin. I hate it when my hands get dry, and I'm pretty sure it is against nail blogging rules to have dry hands. Obviously I moisturize to prevent that, but I also like to exfoliate. Teadora Body Polish was sent to me for review and that is what I have to share with you today! Though, it is technically a body polish, I use it for my hands as well.

I received Rainforest at Dawn, which immediately makes me feel like I am at the spa. I can't really describe what that scent is but here is what the company provided:

RAINFOREST AT DAWN // Wake up in the rainforest. A bright and sparkling citrusy burst of bergamot and lemon swirls with woods, fresh florals, basil, and eucalyptus to awaken your senses and ready you for the day ahead. Hear the calls of colorful birds. Smell the lush, exotic flowers and juicy black currants. Feel the dark, fertile soil under your toes.

I can't say I heard the calls of birds or felt the fertile soil under my toes, but I felt pretty great after using this the first time. Something about the scent is just so wonderful. Maybe it is the bergamot, I love bergamot.

This is really a finer grit exfoliator which is a nice change of pace from homemade sugar scrubs. Those sometimes feel like I am trying to rip my skin off. This feels more like a gentle sand and my skin feels so soft and smooth after. took a photo of the texture to give you an idea of what I mean.

This also comes in the scent Rainforest at Dusk. That is described by Teadora here:

RAINFOREST AT DUSK // Relax in the rainforest. Smooth, floral notes of Rose Absolute and Geranium blend with hints of orange and coconut to soothe and revitalize your senses after a long day. Feel the cooling air against your skin. Hear the patter of rain on the leaves overhead. Smell the luscious Ylang, night blooming flowers and the rich warmth of cedarwood. Listen to the calls of night monkeys.

I had a difficult time deciding which I wanted to try because they both sounded amazing. I am a regular exfoliator and I think that everyone should be as well. I just love the way my skin feels afterwards. Those who dislike exfoliating might still want to try this one because it is so gentle. Teadora lines out the benefits of exfoliating 2-3 times a week:

·Removing layer(s) of dead skin gets the blood flowing and helps revive skin’s radiance and glow
·When skin gets extra dry, it can start to flake - exfoliating keeps flakes and rough patches in check
·Allows lotions to penetrate and moisturize more effectively
·Unclogs pores of oil and dirt which means less breakouts
·When you remove surface dry skin, skin looks smoother, which means you look younger!

They have some great points! I didn't know that exfoliating helps prevent breakouts though. This seems like a really great and environmentally conscious company. A little about them:

Teadora’s Nourishing Body Polish is loaded with powerful, sustainably harvested natural and organic ingredients from the Amazon rainforest. The formula includes Teadora’s Icons of the Rainforest (Buriti, Pitanga, Cupuaçu, Andiroba and Açaí) and Rainforest Hydration Elixir (Babassu, Brazil Nut, Rose Hip Seed and Passion Fruit oils), plus a potent combo of Açaí Seeds for deep exfoliation and Amazonian Clay to help reduce blemishes for brighter, healthier, smoother skin.

This stuff is just so amazing! I highly recommend trying this out and maybe treating a friend or family member (or yourself!) to this for Christmas for a great at home spa day! You can find Teadora on their website: TeadoraBeauty.com and as a special Black Friday treat, it is currently available now through Sunday on Hautelook at a discounted rate. Be sure to check out their stocking stuffer sets! These are perfect for gift giving! I hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks for reading.
