I am back today with another installment of Work Wear Wednesdays! This week I don't have a pictorial tutorial for you (sorry), but it is really simple. I have jelly sandwich stamping to share today!
For this look you need a jelly polish. Jelly polishes are usually sheer but build able. I used Zoya Frida for this, it is a great teal jelly. I painted three layers of it and then added a quick dry top coat. Once that was totally dry, I stamped an image from the Born Pretty Store plate 05 (review coming soon) with a silver polish. Then I added another layer of Zoya. That was it! I really like the jelly sandwich effect. It is super easy and has a great look to it! I love jellies! This color may be a little bold for some offices, but you can substitute any color jelly! I hope you like this fun and simple work appropriate look. Stay tuned for my Born Pretty Store review of this plate soon!
Andrea, I'm still loving this series. Thanks for showing your readers some conservative mani's!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you love it! I hated skipping it last week, but I just didn't have the time.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love Frida so much!
ReplyDeleteWow! I see an ornate skeleton rib cage in this pattern, it is awesome. I feel like I can get away with a lot of weird colors at work as long as I do all the nails the same color, so I think this works :-)
ReplyDeleteMe too! She is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too, I wasn't sure if I was seeing things or not. I'm pretty sure it isn't supposed to be a skeleton though. Yeah, this one is pushing it a little with being work appropriate, but I really didn't want to do a sheer nude.
ReplyDeleteIf we both see it we are not crazy! I could totally do this at work.
ReplyDeleteGreat look! I love "stamp sandwiches". I have that plate too! Love it!
ReplyDeleteStunning nail art! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! I love how deep stampwiches can look, this combo is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I lovely the subtlety of this!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeously squishy effect!
ReplyDeleteSo much squishy, it's lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love jelly sandwiches! I usually do it with glitter, but stamping is a perfect choice! Great mani :)
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful does Friday look over silver? The stamping is excellent, but if that's any indication I would love it just plain layered!
ReplyDeleteI always tell myself I have to try a jelly stamping sandwich-whatever it's called! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I hereby declare that all offices should be more open-minded w.r.t. nail polish, because if they can't handle beauty like this...
ReplyDeleteI love doing a jelly stamped manicure. Yours turned out much better than mine do. This is a great color combination.
