The Polished Bookworms: Nail Art Inspired by Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

I have a confession. I didn't read the book for book club this month. The Polished Bookworms read Gone Girl this month, but I actually read it ages ago, so I didn't feel the need to re-read it. I'm rebellious, I know. I thought it was a really great and twisted book. Gillian Flynn is really good at writing really suspenseful, twisted, thrillers. If you like that kind of thing, you need to read her books! I decided to do a mani inspired by broken glass. I don't remember if broken glass was ever in the book, but that is what I think of when I think of this book.

Butter LONDON Wallis

For a long time I have wanted to add butter LONDON Wallis to my collection, but for one reason or another, I just never picked it up! Thanks to Ulta's recent sale, I picked it up for $9! I am so happy I did. Wallis is an olive toned color with flashes of gold. It is really difficult to explain, and the pictures don't do it justice, but take a look.

Dark Purple Nail Art

I love purple and I decided to create a really simple purple nail art design that anyone can easily accomplish. I used a base coat of black and topped that with Sinful Colors Stardust and added a purple chevron in OPI I Carol About You.

One More Saint Patrick's Day Nail Art Design

I feel like lately my nail world has been on the back burner to my real world, which had put my posting behind. I have a design I had on my nails for St Patricks Day that I didn't get the chance to share with you all. I did another watermarble, but I did it on all my nails.

Work Wear Wednesday: Simple Stripes

Hello! I hope you all are having a wonderful week! It's hump day again, and I actually have a Work Wear Wednesday post to share with you! I didn't have time to do a picture tutorial, but I will share step by step instructions. I used Sally Hansen Licorice and Mint Sorbet to achieve this look. I really love neutral colors with pastels, and even though Licorice is a really dark neutral, I think it helps make Mint Sorbet pop.

OPI A-Piers To Be Tan

I hope you all are recovering from day light savings time stealing an hour of sleep! I hate day light saving, but I really love fall back! Today, I have one of those ugly-pretty colors to share with you! I can't recall when I picked this color up, but it was definitely on sale. I always hesitate buying the colors that are kind of ugly but could be pretty, but I took the plunge here. I was really glad I did, because it surprised me a little. The color reminds me of a saddle or something very cowboy. In some light it also just looks caramel. Either way, it is a really interesting color.
