Work Wear Wednesday: Island Girl Style

It is late on a Wednesday, but today I have another installment of Work Wear Wednesday! I apologize for being absent for so long. I think it is fatigue from working long hours for months, but I hope to be more consistent in the future! This week I decided to switch things up a bit and add an almost neon color. I used an unnamed Island Girl, OPI L.A.M.B., Wet n Wild Matte Top Coat, and Maybelline Bold Gold for stamping and Born Pretty Store Plate BP-19.

Work Wear Wednesday: Pastel Polka Dots

Affiliate Links

I have another installment of Work Wear Wednesday up today! I wanted to do something really simple because I just haven't had any energy to do anything intricate lately, and who doesn't love a simple dotticure? After I did one a while back, I had another WWW post with a tan and black dotticure and since then, I noticed a lot of questions about how I actually do it. I thought it was a pretty simple process and I have a little tutorial at the bottom of the post.

Work Wear Wednesdays: Pastel Chevron Tutorial

I finally have a proper Work Wear Wednesday post again! This week is Spring themed and could work for Easter designs too. I used three pastel shades from Sally Hansen and some Nail Vinyls in chevron shapes. I really liked how light and pretty this turned out. This may not be suitable for all work environments, but I think it could work for most office places.

Work Wear Wednesday: Simple Stripes

Hello! I hope you all are having a wonderful week! It's hump day again, and I actually have a Work Wear Wednesday post to share with you! I didn't have time to do a picture tutorial, but I will share step by step instructions. I used Sally Hansen Licorice and Mint Sorbet to achieve this look. I really love neutral colors with pastels, and even though Licorice is a really dark neutral, I think it helps make Mint Sorbet pop.

Work Wear Wednesday: Wisps

Happy Work Wear Wednesday! This week's design is pretty much the same as Sunday's design, but with a few key changes. I of course made the colors more work appropriate, but I also added a matte top coat. Are you surprised? I have almost run out of matte top coat, that is how much I use that stuff! I really enjoyed Sunday's design and wanted to try it again with a different style.

Work Wear Wednesday: Monochrome Chevrons

It is Work Wear Wednesday again! I have been slacking in posting lately, and for that I am sorry. I really wanted to make sure I got this up on Wednesday even though it is late. I decided to go with a simple two tone look. I created a chevron design just using Nail Vinyls and L'Oreal polishes.

Work Wear Wednesdays: Holiday Edition Tutorial

Late night post, but it is still Wednesday for me! I have been really worn thin with all the holiday activities! I love it all, but it just takes it out of me. I still have a ton of things I want to do this Christmas season, and I hope I can get to them all. One of which is to show you more holiday nail designs! Today's Work Wear Wednesdays post is a holiday design and a little more advanced than I have shown, but I think all of you should give it a go!

Work Wear Wednesdays: How to Wear Dark Colors

Are you a fan of dark colors on your nails like me? I have a problem with wearing dark colors all the time, and that translates to nail polish as well. For me, dark colors make me feel more powerful and confident, not goth or emo. I especially love dark colors on my nails when they are short. I thought, what is an easy way to wear dark colors to work? This is what I have to share with you today. This Work Wear Wednesday, I don't have a tutorial for you, but only because it is so simple to do.

Work Wear Wednesdays: Inspired by The Nail Boss

Today, I have another installment of Work Wear Wednesdays! This week, I have something inspired by an artist I love. Have you ever heard of the Nail Boss? If not, you need to check him out on Instagram! He has 148K followers for a good reason. He does some really amazing work and he doesn't use polish! I think he is using acrylic, but what he does it way more advanced than my nail vocabulary. Just go check him out, I promise, you will love him. I spotted an image on his account a long time ago and I can't get it out of my head, so I attempted to re-create it for Work Wear Wednesdays. It has just the right amount of neutral and glitter!

Introduction to Work Wear Wednesdays and Tutorial

Guess what day it is?! Move over "hump day" it is now Work Wear Wednesday! I have decided to create a new series called Work Wear Wednesdays! I will be creating nail art that is work appropriate for professional work environments. We all know that our love of nail art can sometimes be a bit too much for the workplace, especially if your employer is particularly strict or if you have clients you want to impress. This series is meant to be a guide to give you ideas on how to execute simple nail art that you can show off at the office without raising any eyebrows. Every workplace is different, so feel free to work off of these designs to make them your own and appropriate for what you do!

Swatch and Review of Dermelect: Excentric

I have a new (to me) mainstream brand to share with you! Have any of you heard of Dermelect? I hadn't heard of it and I think it is a new product at Ulta. Ulta sent me a coupon for $4 off, so I thought I would give it a go. Normally these retail for $12 each, treatments are more expensive. Dermelect claims that this polish is good for your nails. It is apparently the only one infused with a keratin protein peptide, which is supposed to encourage stronger nail growth. I chose Excentric, which is a darker blue toned grey, which is unlike anything in my collection. Most greys I have are more purple leaning or pure grey.
