I have another installment of Work Wear Wednesday up today! I wanted to do something really simple because I just haven't had any energy to do anything intricate lately, and who doesn't love a simple dotticure? After I did one a while back, I had another WWW post with a tan and black dotticure and since then, I noticed a lot of questions about how I actually do it. I thought it was a pretty simple process and I have a little tutorial at the bottom of the post.
For this look, you just need a dotting tool in whatever size you want.
1. Start with a neutral base color. I used two coats of Nails Inc Colville Mews.
2. Use a dotting tool to dip in another color and use light hand to drop dots down the middle of the nail. I am using Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac for this.
3. On both sides of the middle row, add dots in a staggered pattern.
4. Dot the edges in the same pattern even if a full dot doesn't fit. This helps make it look like a continuous pattern.
5. Clean up your cuticles and add a top coat.
Dotting tools are really inexpensive, and I bought mine on Amazon. I hope this helps you create your dots! Thanks for stopping by and reading!
