Today I have a new to me indie brand to share with you! Different Dimension is a brand I have been following for quite a while, but never purchased, until now! I have two shades to share with you today: That Is So Fetch! and 50 Shades. I'm not really sure what to classify them as, but maybe a glitter topper with a jelly base? The base is pigmented but not entirely a full coverage type of polish. That Is So Fetch! was inspired by Mean Girls character: Gretchen Wieners. So funny! 50 Shades was inspired by 50 Shades of Grey.

Nail Art: Sideways Moons
Sideways moons? I'm sure you have heard of half moon manis, but sideways moons? I'n not sure is it an appropriate name, but that is what I am going with here. I just thought of these one night and decided to see what they would look like. I started with a base of China Glaze White On White and carefully freehand painted Pelican Gray on the side of the nail in a somewhat curved shape. Then I painted Wet n Wild Black Creme over the grey in a similar arc shape. I then added some acrylic nail studs from the Born Pretty Store (Use code: HANDX31 for 10% off).

Nail Art: Simple Lace French Tip
I have easy lace nails to share with you today! I started with a base color of Essie Chinchilly and added Island Girl (teal from this post, still don't know the name) and created a nice bright/neutral mani. The only tool I used was a dotting tool.

Swatch and Review of OPI Moon over Mumbai
Today I have an older polish, not old to me, but it was released quite a while ago. Today I have OPI Moon Over Mumbai, which is from the 2008 Spring India Collection. I have another from that collection (Black Cherry Chutney) and had seen swatches of this on other blogs, so when I saw it on sale at Ulta, I had to grab it. It is a greyed out white with an iridescent finish. I thought it would be a prefect neutral for work events. I decided to sport these for a business meeting, and I think they worked nicely for that.

Swatch and Review of Avon Cherry Jubilee and Untamed
Press Sample
Today I have two polishes that were generously provided to me in return for my honest review. Jodi Stevens, an Avon Representative wanted to make sure the products she is selling are up to her high standards and offered some for nail bloggers to review. I was provided Cherry Jubilee, a deep and true red with a darker undertone and Untamed, a taupe brown/grey. Let's start off with Cherry Jubilee:

Swatch and Review of Orly: Faint of Heart, Monroe's Red and Space Cadet
Today I have three Orly polishes to share with you! Faint of Heart, Monroe's Red and Space Cadet are three great colors that have been sitting in my untried pile for far too long. I have been working hard to get through my untrieds, and every time I am ashamed at how long it took me to try some of these lovely polishes!

Swatch and Review of OPI: 4 In The Morning
I recently picked up three shades from OPI's Gwen Stefani collection and wanted to share all three with you today. However, I tried to take all the photos outside, as it was one of the nicest days since Winter started, but I lost the daylight. I did get decent photos of one, and that is the only one I will share today. 4 In The Morning, looks just like that, dark but with a little bit of twinkle. It has a satin finish which is supposed to be a tad glossier than a matte finish. In the bottle it looks like a charcoal grey, but on the nail, I would call it more of a dusty black.

Swatch and Review of A England: Ascalon
Today, I have another addition to my collection of A England!! Ascalon is a beautiful duochrome polish. At a cursory glance, it is a grey hued color with holographic glitter, but I see gorgeous hints of purple and green. From A England's website they describe it as follows: 'Forged by magic and guided by our hero's sainted hand, the steely grey of his spire is alive with a swirling heart of lavender fire.'. Isn't that an awesome description? I can definitely see it in this polish in real life, but it is difficult to capture in a photo.

Swatch and Review of Stardust Polish: North of the Wall
I can now say I am the proud owner of three independent label nail polishes, or "indie" polishes for short. I've been curious about indie polish for a while. Some are just amateur looking, but some just blow me away. So stunning, unique and eye catching, some I cannot stop thinking about! This was one of them. Today I have Stardust Polish: North of the Wall. This comes from the Game of Thrones Collection. I've been reading the books and when I heard there was a Game of Thrones collection, it caught my attention. As soon as I saw swatches, I knew I had to have it. North of the Wall is a creamy, milky grey with so many different glitters!
Close up of the polish in the bottle!
Drema, the owner of Stardust Polish, suggests on her description of the polish that the polish looks best with three coats or two coats over grey, white or silver. I wanted to test it out first and see which one I liked best. Here are all four combinations:
Although, I like every version of this, I decided I liked it best over grey. I painted two layers of L'Oreal Greycian Goddess which is a blue hued grey, then added two coats of North of the Wall. Here is the result:
I love North of the Wall, the formula is wonderful to work with! I really love this unique combo of polish! The glitter doesn't make your nail feel rough or anything, but I always use a top coat. It applied smoothly and it wasn't difficult to get the glitters on the nail. I love the combination of color! One of the fun things about themed collections, is trying to gauge how much you think the colors represent the theme. I've only read two of the books, but North of the Wall seems to be very representative of what I imagine it to look north of the wall. Have you watched the series? How well do you think it represents the theme? Stardust Polish always has a hard time keeping this polish stocked because it is in high demand! I had to wait a few rounds of re-stocks to get my hands on this beauty. You can find it here, and I believe she is restocking tomorrow! Definitely check out other colors from the collection! I've got my eye on He Always Pays His Debts! I believe Winter is Coming is going to be discontinued after tomorrow's restock, so if you like it, order it as soon as it is available. I am definitely a fan of Stardust Polish after trying just this one. I love the idea of buying from a small business, especially when the colors are so unique! I hope you check out Stardust Polish!
