Three Nail Art Designs for St. Patrick's Day

I love Saint Patrick's Day! It is such a fun holiday to celebrate, so I decided to share three St. Patty's designs with you. I have a water marble, a gradient and a skittle mani, so hopefully you like at least one and can try it for yourself!

First up is the gradient mani. I decided to sponge on a gradient with NYC Palm Tree from the Brazil Collection and OPI Christmas Gone Plaid from the Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection. I topped that with China Glaze Fairy Dust. For my ring and thumb nails I used a base of Maybelline Brocades Silver Swank and painted on a clover with dotting tools. I basically created four heart shapes and called it good.

Next up, I painted my nails with KBShimmer Get Clover It and water marbled on my ring and thumb nails. I loved how the water marble turned out! I used way too many polishes to remember, but my technique seems to work really well for a lot of polishes. I use filtered water from a pitcher and pour it into my cup. I let it sit for a while, when I prep, but it never gets to room temp, and that seems to work well.

Last up is my skittle mani. I used NYC Palm Tree as my green here and added China Glaze I'm Not Lion for the gold accent. Funny thing, it shows up way more gold over green than by itself. I also dotted some clovers over white on my ring finger.

So, what do you think of my designs? I'm sure they aren't totally original, but I mixed some of my favorite tried and true techniques for some fun St. Patrick's Day looks. Will you be doing anything special for the holiday? Hope you all had a great weekend and have a happy Saint Patrick's Day Tuesday!
