Work Wear Wednesday: Simple Stripes

Hello! I hope you all are having a wonderful week! It's hump day again, and I actually have a Work Wear Wednesday post to share with you! I didn't have time to do a picture tutorial, but I will share step by step instructions. I used Sally Hansen Licorice and Mint Sorbet to achieve this look. I really love neutral colors with pastels, and even though Licorice is a really dark neutral, I think it helps make Mint Sorbet pop.

Instructions:
1. I painted a base color of SH Licorice and let it dry completely.
2. Add a quick dry top coat to ensure the base layers dry completely.
3. Add tape across the nail to cover the tip. I tried to cover about 2/3 of the nail.
4. Paint Mint Sorbet over the base of the nail and while it is still wet, carefully pull the tape off.
5. Use a striping brush to freehand paint a thin line above the line just created.
6. Allow all of that to dry and then add a top coat.

I think this design is really simple, and you could do it all freehand if you wanted to do so. I think this would look nice with any kind of neutral/pastel combo, or for summer months neutral/neon! Oh man, I can't wait until Neon Week is upon us again. Hope you all had a great day, thanks for stopping by and reading!

  4. Great color combo! Yet another perfect mani for work! You could even do it with glitter too :) Like a neutral color with glitter where you have the black.

  8. Mint Sorbet is such a classic Sally Hansen shade in their Xtreme line. I think I have my bottle of it for at least two years. Love the mani, simple but chic!

  9. Mint Sorbet is one of my favorite Sally Hansen polishes. This mani reminds me of a sweater I used to have and it (the mani) looks great!
