Today I have two special polishes! Island Girl is a brand only sold in ABC Stores in Hawaii and Las Vegas. I was very lucky to have received these several months back and I have only now been able to try them out. I have a deep blue shimmer called Tropical Magic and a baby pink shimmer called Tropical Dream.
Tropical Dream applied beautifully, no streaks at all, which is sometimes challenging with shimmer polish. I used two coats but could have gotten away with only one. I love these kinds of blues, they are so rich and have a great depth to them that not many people like, but I am totally obsessed with!
Tropical Dream is a very nice light pink shimmer. This has the same great application as Tropical Magic, but does have a tiny bit of streaking. I had thought this looked an awful lot like Color Club Hot Like Lava, but my side by side below shows HLL is slightly darker and it was a little harder to apply.
Overall, two great polishes! Next time I am in Las Vegas or Hawaii, I am definitely picking up some more of these beauties! Thanks for reading!
