Tutorial: Lace

Remember this lace look from earlier this month? I had a few readers request a tutorial, so I have a quick pictorial tutorial to share today!

First, I used Essie Chinchilly and Island Girl (Name Unknown). I liked the juxtaposition between the neutral color and the neon color, but you can use whatever colors you want!

1. Start with your base color. I used two coats here.
2. Use a larger dotting tool to create a line of dots with the overlay color across the nail.
3. Use the brush of the overlay color to paint in the area from the line of dots you just created to the end of the nail. Don't forget to cap your tips!
4. Use a smaller dotting tool to create dots in the 'v' of the connecting larger dots.
5. Using the base color and a smaller dotting tool, create smaller dots inside the line of connecting dots.
6. Clean up your cuticles and apply top coat!

That's it! I bought my dotting tools on Amazon for really cheap, but you could also improvise with items around the house. Let me know if you have any questions!
