Nail Art: Pastel Stripes and Flowers

For today's look I was completely inspired by my fellow Salemite (is that a word?) I Dream of Lacquer! I don't know if she ever posted her nails that I was inspired by on her blog, but they are her profile picture on her blog's facebook page.Check out her work, she is amazing! I pretty much copied her work completely, but with different colors. I haven't gotten my hands on any Lime Crime polish yet. Being pastel and floral, I thought these were perfect for Easter. I will list all the colors at the bottom of the post.

I started with a base of and off white Color Club Mod in Manhattan. I then added striping tape and painted on the colors with a nail art brush. For the stripes I used blue: Sally Hansen Blue-Away, green: Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, purple: Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac, orange: Sinful Colors Skylark and yellow: Sinful Colors Unicorn. For the flowers I used a dark purple: OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI? and light purple: Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac, dark blue: Sally Hansen Blue Me Away! light blue: Sally Hansen Blue-Away and light green: Sinful Colors Song of Summer and bright green: Sally Hansen Lickety-Split Lime. I topped it all off with NYC Matte Me Crazy Top Coat. Whew, that was a lot of polish! I think that was the largest collection of polishes I have used on a nail art design in a long time! I really loved this look that I Dream of Lacquer did a while back and it stuck with me. I knew I had to re-create it at some point. What do you think? Have you done any Easter designs for your nails? Below are several other spring and Easter inspired manicures, take a look!
