Swatch and Review of Maybelline Color Show

Warning, this post has a ton of photos! I was going through my collection and realized that I have a ton of untried polish. Shameful, I know. Today I am featuring some Maybelline Color Show polishes I haven't used before. I have one limited edition: Flash of Purple, and two that are part of the permanent collection: Blue Freeze and Wined & Dined. I apologize in advance if you can't find Flash of Purple in stores, but maybe some of you have it and haven't tried it yet, like me :)

Flash of Purple is a great, and unique purple. It isn't too dark and it isn't a pastel. It is difficult to describe, but it is really interesting. I used two coats for the photos, it was a little thicker than I like, but a very easy to apply and manageable texture. Next up is Blue Freeze.

Blue Freeze on the nail is much darker than I expected. I thought the shimmer would shine through more, but it is more muted. Very nice application, I liked the consistency a lot. No complaints there. Next is Wined & Dined.

Wined & Dined was a but sheer and took three coats to build up to full coverage. It is a brown base with a hint of red or maroon and a tiny bit of gold. It kind of reminds me of Revlon Parfumerie Pumpkin Spice. Pumpkin Spice has more of an orange hue, but this is reminiscence of it.

Overall, Maybelline Color Show is great drugstore polish! They have a lot of great colors that are good quality and a good price!
