Swatch and Review of Daily Hues Fall Collection (Partial)

Press Sample

Today I have three polishes from the exciting fall collection from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer! This is the brand that brought us Blaze and my favorite Isys! The three that I have are Neri, Ashlyn, and Elsa! There are some stunners in this collection, so prepare yourself!

First up is Neri, this one was difficult to accurately capture. It appears to be a mid-toned blue with a grey tint to it, but in real life it has a green shimmer that explodes in the right lighting. I'm ashamed I couldn't capture it for you! I applied three coats here for full opacity.

Ashlyn, all I can say is holo glitter!! I just used these for nail art, where I created a rainbow design. I was completely inspired by the holographic glitter in Ashlyn! It is truly gorgeous in person! I used 4 coats for full coverage. It isn't an opaque base, but tinted, so it does take more layering, but the layering makes it multi-faceted. You can easily use this as a topper as well. This is a 'stop and stare at your nails for an embarrassingly long time' type of polish!

Elsa is really pretty! Elsa is a lighter blue with random holo glitter pieces mixed in, but she is also a duochrome! I painted one layer over black to make it pop. You can use it alone, but it will take several layers and won't be quite as bold as this. It shifts from blue to purple and the shift is a gorgeous one. It was difficult to capture, and I think I was able to do so in the last photo.

So, I heard for duochromes, it is easier to capture their shift with water droplets. That didn't seem to work for me, but you can see the shift right??

The three polishes from the fall collection I received amazed me! I literally stared at my nails way to long. I did find that the ones I received were more than two coaters alone, but with another applied in two or fewer coats. If you expect one coaters, these may not be for you. However, if you have patience and love complex and multifaceted colors, you need these in your life! The formulas are what I have come to expect from Daily Hues, a little thicker but very manageable and smooth. I would compare the formula to Zoya. They have a nice even coverage without worry of flooding the cuticles. I am so glad to have been offered a chance to review these and I hope you get the chance to check them out for yourselves!
